It's Here! My new Commarker Omni X 5W UV laser has arrived. 71 pounds of pure laser engraving power.
This machine was so well packaged that it took me over 30 minutes just to get it unpacked. The package was absolutely HUGE!
Because I am not the least bit mechanically inclined I must admit that I was more than a little bit intimidated by the process of assembling it. There isn't much to it. Hooking up cables, securing the laser head, tower and sliding cover is really all there is to it.. But still, I knew that there would be a certain amount of frustration involved. And then I find "Rise and Grind" on YouTube. He totally steps through the entire set up and assembly and the problem was solved.

I will most certainly keep you up to speed as I go through the learning curve and exploring everything that I want to do with this...especially the 3-D Crystal Sub Surface engraving.
