Created this design using AI and it came out great.  Made a depth map of it and engraved it/embossed.  I like the results.  Hope you do also.

 I’m not particularly fond of squirrels as they have destroyed several entryway doors of mine in the past.  My mother however could watch then frolic around for hours on end.  That being said I did a new embossed brass coin for dear old mom (she’s 92) and she’s going to love it I’m sure.  Take a look.

IR LASER ENGRAVING ON SLATE COASTERS

 I’ve started to do some engraving on slate coasters.  So far, using the IR part of my Xtool F1 Ultra I’m impressed with the ease and quality of the engravings.  Took a little bit to get the settings where I wanted them to be but once that was done it was/is a piece of cake.

COIN CHALLENGE ENTRY

 Lasereverything.net is holding a coin challenge every month featuring different themes.  This month’s theme was “Pop 90’s” so I thought I’d give it a try.  Here’s what I was able to engrave on a brass challenge coin.

F1 Ultra Dual Mode Laser Engraver.

Depth Maps Created, Laser engraving heaven

 I have to admit it, I’m in love with creating and engraving depth maps.  With all of the available software now online creating depth maps is no longer such a daunting task.  Here are just a few of my most recent depth map creations.  

I Pulled The Trigger On The New Xtool F1 Ultra

 After weeks of serious deliberation and a fair amount of hesitation I finally pulled the trigger on the new Xtool. F1Ultra dual laser machine.  

The F1 Ultra is a laser that ticked all of my requirements such as being not only a 20 watt blue light diode laser it is also a 20 Watt fiber laser.  All of this is contained in one 32.6 pound unit that comfortably fits on a desk top, is light enough to be mobile and is so well built that I doubt I’ll ever have any problems with it at all.  

I’ll be posting far more about this great new laser as time goes by.  It should arrive within the next week and when it does I’ll be testing, retesting and testing again everything that it can do.  I’m excited and will share my laser engraving/cutting journey with you as time goes by.

One of the best features of this new laser is that it can do embossing using either your photographs or it will generate depth map images through its AI program.  Either way you can create 256 layers of depth on challenge coins, all sorts of different metals and even wood.

Here are some examples of depth maps that I’ve already created that I’ll be testing with.  Should be a real hoot!
